Business investment in the United Kingdom rose 3.9% quarter-on-quarter in the three months to March 2025, rebounding from a 1.9% decline in the previous period. While the figure came in below the initial estimate of a 5.9% increase, it still marked the strongest quarterly expansion since Q1 2023. The downward revision reflected weaker survey data, particularly in spending on other machinery, equipment, buildings, and structures. On an annual basis, business investment climbed 6.1%, up from a 1.8% gain in the prior quarter, marking the fastest growth in nearly three years.
