An official at the UK government confirmed on Thursday that US President Donald Trump is expected to announce an outline of the US-UK trade deal.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and the New York Times (NYT) reported earlier in the Asian session that Trump will likely announce a framework for a trade deal with the UK deal.
Market reaction
GBP/USD remains unimpressed by the above comment, trading flat on the day at 1.3290 as of writing.
