Professional Trader?
To qualify as an elective professional client, you may
need to meet the applicable regulatory eligibility criteria.
If you can answer “Yes” to at least two of the following
questions, you may be eligible to apply for Professional
Trading status.
What if I am not eligible?
Don't worry. You can still trade as a retail client on
the same powerful platform and access the same great
trading tools available to our professional traders,
subject to the terms applicable to your account.

Restrictions on CFDs
Certain national regulatory product intervention measures
may impose restrictions on CFDs, including leverage

Professional Client, certain protections applicable to
retail clients may not apply to you.
Disclosures
You may receive fewer information disclosures regarding
Today Markets, its services, products and financial
instruments, including CFDs. Communications may also use
more sophisticated terminology than information provided
to retail clients.
Order execution
You remain entitled to Best Execution under applicable
regulatory requirements. However, certain additional
obligations applying specifically to retail clients may
not apply in the same way to Professional Clients.
Best Execution information
We may not be required to prioritise the overall price and
costs of a transaction as the most important factor in
achieving Best Execution for you, depending on the
applicable regulatory framework.
Order information and statements
Certain obligations relating to notification of material
difficulties in carrying out orders and the frequency or
level of detail of periodic statements may differ from
those applicable to Retail Clients.
Safeguarding of funds
Your funds will continue to be handled in accordance with
applicable client money and safeguarding requirements.
However, certain information obligations applicable to
retail clients may not apply in the same way.
Investor Compensation Fund
Professional Clients may not be entitled to compensation
under the Investor Compensation Fund for clients of
Cypriot Investment Firms where such protection is available
to Retail Clients.
